Mr. Ron Goehring was presented with a plaque honoring him for his 44 years of service to the public school system of Texas on May 8, 2013 during a Regional Advisory Council meeting at the Region 13 Education Service Center in Austin.  Mr. Goehring, who is retiring from Round Top – Carmine ISD at the end of this school year, was praised by Region 13 Executive Director, Dr. Terry Smith, for his dedication and effectiveness.  In his address, Dr. Smith cited that out of a total of 44 years in education, spending 28 years in the same district is very uncommon and speaks very well of Mr. Goehring’s leadership abilities.  In addition, Dr. Smith spoke of the many successful programs developed during Mr. Goehring’s 10 years as superintendent in RTC ISD as well as the exemplary testing results achieved within the district.  Throughout his career, Mr. Goehring has made a positive impact on students; in RTC, Region 13 and across the State of Texas.
