Congratulations to Laurie Byrd for winning the State Track Meet in both the 3200 and 1600 Meter Runs. This is the third year in a row that she has qualified and the second year in a row winning the State Title in both races. The above video is her 3200 Meter start and the video below is her finish. Her 3200 Meter time was 11:18.88 and her 1600 Meter time was 5:17.28. |
Summer Reading at the Round Top Library
Round Top Family Library Summer Reading Program entitled Libraries: “Deep in the Heart of Texas” begins June 7th @ 2pm with a kick off party sharing animal balloons, and homemade ice-cream. Registration is open to kids of all ages, from Pre-k to teens. The program is for 6 weeks ending July 15th and is self paced. Incentives will be shared for number of books read. Special thanks to our reading club supporters: Klumps Restraunt, Round Top General Store, LCRA Employee’ United Charities, Horseshoe Junction, West wood Cinema, Astros and Bluebell Aquatic Center. Story time and music will be shared every Wednesday @ 3:30 pm and Bilingual Story time with activity every Friday @ 3:30 pm. A library card, which is free and a love for books are the only requirements. Book Sale is on-going. Our beautiful garden is open for you to feel at peace and relax.
